"The Mission of Skagit Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is to create a welcoming and loving religious community that cares for our planet and its inhabitants, inspires spiritual growth, promotes justice and encourages lives of integrity, joy and service."

We are a small congregation but we attempt to make the most of our energies and resources by joining with other groups, both religious and community-based, to support humanitarian projects in our area. Examples include supporting homeless shelters, food drives and other community efforts.

We have a “last Sunday offering” each month where funds collected are donated to a local organization that works for justice or supports humanitarian causes.

At Diversity Hall we provide a meeting place and building rentals for groups that promote progressive causes. We are a full partner fellowship in the Unitarian Universalist Association and support the UU Service Committee's international work with programs like "Guest at Your Table".

Locally we promote healthy food and lifestyles for our communities in a variety of ways. We have made a commitment to positive actions

toward 'greening' our fellowship and our personal lives while being conscious that our actions affect the health of others, the Skagit Valley and our planet.

We are a founding member of the North Sound Community Alliance, a broad-based community organizing coalition consisting of many local churches and non-profit organizations (also known as Skagit Alliance).

We support human rights for all, including immigrants and people of all ethnic and social backgrounds. We are a welcoming community that cares for our planet and its inhabitants, inspires spiritual growth, promotes justice and encourages lives of integrity, joy and service.

Congregational members are involved in all aspects of community life in the region where we live from volunteering at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon to supporting the rights of migrant farm workers. We welcome your ideas, energy and passion.

Farmworkers March

We support migrant worker rights and have joined in the farmworkers march every year. The images on the right are from the 2011 Farmworkers Solidarity March. Leslie, Matt, Donna, Dundas, Brenda, Mike and Elmyra proudly carried the SUUF banner! We have supported the migrant workers for many years.
